MAGNASPHERE MSS SERIES “Standard” Contacts

The MSS products in this section represent the first of many MAGNASPHERE technology contacts for non-high security applications. They are direct replacements for standard reed contacts, but have the security benefits of being UL634 listed as balanced magnetic switches (BMS) at prices competitive with good quality reed contacts.

MAGNASPHERE MSS 300 SERIES Multi-Switch Contacts

In response to a request from the State Department, MAGNASPHERE has introduced both a 1” concealed and a surface mount version of two and three switch contacts for non-high security installations. Each style offers both closed loop and open loop contact options and are made with Magnasphere BMS switch technology.

MAGNASPHERE High Security Contacts

UL634 Standard – Level 1 and Level 2 High Security – ICD / ICS 705

UL634 is the standard for all switches and connectors used in alarm systems. The 9th edition (2007) eliminated the previous BMS high security categories. Learn about the difference between High Security Levels 1 & 2. The ICD 705, sets the standards for SCIF intrusion detection systems for the government Intelligence Community, and states a clear preference for Level 2 devices.

MAGNASPHERE HS L1.5 SERIES
Surface Mount LEVEL 1 High Security Contacts

In response to those in the market that favor the lowest cost over the best security approach, MAGNASPHERE has introduced the L1.5, UL 634 Level 1 (9th edition) listed device. Although not as secure as the Level 2 HSS, it is has many of the same features and is superior to the many “grandfathered” reed switch based Level 1 contacts – hence the designation L1.5.
